Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 however when he was first born his name was Rolihlahla. He was in the village named Mvezo however colonial authorities took away Nelson Mandela's fathers place as cheif then they moved the family to Qunu. As Nelson Mandela was the first to attend a school he was hit with pride by his family while there Rolihlahla name was changed to Nelson.
Nelson Mandela's father died of tuberculosis when he was only 9 years old. Then this resulted of him being put under guardian of the regent Jongintaba. Nelson Mandela attended Wesleyan School and college. Nelson Mandela finised his Junior certificate in 2 years rather than 3, then he moved onto the college in Fort Beaufort and there he took interest in running and boxing. In this college he met two people who he became close friends with, Oliver Tambo and Kaiser Matanzima who was line of the throne for Transkei.
Nelson Mandela then started to become involved in student Represntative Council and their boycotts against Universal Policies. This then leaded for him to not being able to finish his Batchular and art degree because Nelson Mandela got recorded of Political Activism and was he forced to leave the college.
Later on Nelson Mandela was arranged marriage proposal however he refused this and ran away from home and went to Johannesburg. There he found a job as a guard mine but found to be a royal runaway. This then leaded him to becoming a clerk and then completed his Batchular and art degree in University of South Africa. There on he moved to the University of Witwastersran to study law however while he was there he met 3 very influential people who became anti-apartheid activist. The names of these people were Harry Schwarz, Joe Slovo and Ruth First.
Nelson Mandela who was a bright boy and fell into royalty and became well educated through a number of Universities. Nelson Mandela then fought for his rights with non-violence for South Africa and the world.
